Director / Financial Advisor
Sarah has been a Financial Advisor since 1997 (20 years!), and a Certified Financial Planner since 2004. She’s also achieved life membership of the Million Dollar Round Table, an international industry recognition of the top 1% advisors around the world.
All of the above are important, but to understand Sarah’s uniqueness, it is important to know both her background as a trained musician, and her experience as a missionary in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the highly competitive music program at the University of Toronto. While being a music theory major, she was exposed to the challenging discipline of music composition. This discipline has given her the unusual edge of creating new and unique compositions within the confine of rules and regulations.
Because of this unique skill, Sarah excels in working with entrepreneurs looking for creative financial solutions to protect themselves, their business, and their loved ones – all in keeping with the confines of their specific needs and budget. People looking to retire in the near future, as well as retirees, have also found Sarah’s unique skillset a real asset.
Before joining the financial industry, Sarah and her husband spent five eye-opening and meaningful years working as missionaries in Zimbabwe. She sees money not as an end in itself, but she rather views wealth accumulation as a means by which anyone can gain the freedom to live in ways that are meaningful and fulfilling. With her ‘out-of-the-box’ creativity, and her know-how as a Certified Financial Planner, Sarah puts together financial solutions that provide financial peace-of-mind during both accumulation, and the de-cumulation stage of retirement.
Sarah gives back to the community by accepting invitations to speak on the topic of Financial Planning for the Disabled to various community groups, including the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario.
Happily married, Sarah takes regular retreats with her husband. They also enjoy spending time with their son Sean and daughter Rosanna, now in their 20s. She continues using her musical ability through directing music at her church.
